Thanks!Įdit: I was just now checking new brushes and interestingly enough, it works perfectly fine on the scratchpad. 1 Like AhabGreybeard July 23, 2022, 2:28pm 2 It may be one of two things: You have a very large image. The Pop-up palette can be accessed by on the canvas. It is designed to increase productivity and save time of the artists by providing quick access to some of the most frequently used tools and features in Krita. I would appreciate any type of help on the matter. The Pop-up Palette is a feature unique to Krita amongst the digital painting applications. I used to work with the stabilizer on and it never slowed down my strokes and, even with it turned off, I can see a very visible delay in time and distance to where my pen is drawing versus where draws on the screen. I already tried going to Krita's support website and check what to do in regards to their slow brushes policy but nothing they have there worked. I've worked with Krita before with my previous pen tablet and this never happened before. To preemptively avoid lagging, try creating smaller-sized projects so the app will take up less memory on your device. ![]() You can reconfigure Krita to try to reduce lag in the application. This tends to resolve most issues quickly and should be your first port of call. Krita desktop (the free version) runs smooth as butter for me. I'm on Windows 7 圆4, nvidea gtx 560m, 12 gb ram. I enabled the beta version with no improvement. The brush is very laggy and the transform tool barely works. With it active, the lag gets bigger: pretty much unusable at 2048 but still workable at 1024. Key Takeaways The easiest solution is to restart the Krita app. < 1 2 > Showing 1 - 15 of 24 comments trow128 7:46am Same thing here.Edit: I just realised, I had show outline while painting off. The pressure test of my pen on the tablet settings also works the same, fine. At full resolution of 2048x2048 there’s a short lag of maybe 0.3 second, and only at the start of every stroke. I already tried Corel Painter and Clip Studio Paint just to see if the same thing would happen but no, it all works normally. They also don't make smooth lines when I draw more curved lines. I used the version before this one but having been for awhile as of right now because I didn't have a device available to draw with.įor some reason my pen is lagging or the brushes are slow, I really can't tell what's at fault here. Use Blender often (like on a daily basis) and it will grow on you and become intrinsic part of the process, otherwise you'll just be fighting the interface.I just bought a new display tablet, a Huion Kamvas Pro 12 and I just updated Krita to its 4.4.2 version. Going all over the place trying to find the menu entries and settings that you want at that moment. Otherwise it's an exasperating and slow experience the other hand on a keyboard and a ready knowledge of all the hotkeys available. Blender is awesome with a good mouse or trackball but most importantly. Use one in a library and you'll be getting scathing glances from others.Īs for Blender: A wacom tablet isn't really much use there. ![]() the built-in fan is shitty, wears out soon and very loud. If you do intend to look for a Helix on Ebay or such, then do NOT buy one with a built-in fan, buy the fanless one (3rdgen). ![]() So my advice to you is to get the best high end tablet you can afford and specifically one with a hefty garphical card ![]() The bigger screen is only there to have a better oversight and see unexpected color differences.Ī tablet with a lower specs might be forced to allow for a higher resolution on a bigger screen (which doesn't actually give greater sharpness or detail) but will probably max outyour graphical chip, depending on the acompanying color depth.Ī modern high spec tablet like the Helix is expensive (probably in the same price class as high end wacom tablets) with added comfort that it can be used for more than only drawing. It's an 11" tablet with said 1920x1080 resolution, giving me a sharp image to draw on and a possibility to see on a bigger screen the same resolution. The developers of Krita finally fixed the issue a lot of users have with brush lag Well, sorta.Krita Mascot by Tyson Tan. Actually I was referring to the tablet resolution. ![]()
