8/30/2023 0 Comments Crppf supracondylar fracture![]() ![]() Pediatric supracondylar humerus fractures are the most common fractures around the pediatric elbow. The minimum followup for both groups was 3.3 weeks (average, 13 weeks range, 3.3–130 weeks). Demographics, injury data, operative technique, complications, and radiographic reduction were analyzed. To equalize group size, the 37 most remote fractures in Group 1 were removed, leaving a final 53 fractures in each group for analysis. ![]() All fractures were stabilized with the 0.62-mm K-wires after the reductions. In Group 2, (53 fractures) the Schanz pin technique was used to assist with reduction of fractures that were not reduced successfully by closed manipulations. In this group, if successful reduction could not be achieved via closed manipulations, a formal open reduction was performed. Group 1 (90 fractures) included fractures treated before implantation of the Schanz pin. These fractures then were divided into two groups. 7 No.We retrospectively reviewed all displaced pediatric supracondylar humerus fractures treated by one surgeon from March 2002 through December 2010, with 143 fractures meeting criteria for inclusion. There was 1 patient how got ulnar nerve injury complication after medial-lateral crossed pinning, making up 2.38% of all cases. RESULTS: Result evaluation based on Flynn criteria (1974): 85.74 % excellent, 9.5% good, 2.38% fair, and 2.38% poor. The average duration of the procedure was 46 minutes, and there was no failed case. There was a male predominance with a male / female ratio of 3/1. The age of patients ranged from 3 to 11 years old, with a mean of 5. METHODS: We conducted a research on 42 patients from February 2018 to March 2019. Nowadays, closed reduction and percutaneous pinning (CRPP) is the most popular treatment.ĪIM: This study had two aims (1) checking the result of treating pediatric SHF patients without neurovascular injury by CRPP under image intensifier, and (2) analysing neurovascular complications of CRPP in treating these patients. Supracondylar of the humerus fracture, CRPP, Garland classification, Flynn ‘s criteria AbstractīACKGROUND: Pediatric supracondylar humerus fracture (SHF) is a complicated injury which can result in severe sequela.
